The drive down was pretty stress-free, the road works that use to plague our journey to and from University were long over and it was all smooth sailing. On arrival it was like we had never left, Broadstairs is pretty much the same as it was when we left 8 years ago. The front is classically English seaside, without any "tack" and it's simply beautiful.
We went to our usual spots, a play and walk along the beach, icecream and Chapini's then cheesy chips and a drink at the Albion Hotel - it was like we were still two young University students. Except we had two children in tow.
On day's when we used to revise on the beach for our end of year exams, I never imagined I would be one day bringing our children here. Time has gone by so quickly and I'm so thankful for our little family to share these adventures with.
Though our visit was only a flying one, I'd definitely like to head back in the not too distant future. If anyone knows of a fantastic campsite in the area, then please let me know! We'd love to camp down here and explore our old favourites further.
